I don’t know if it was Greek or Eastern in origin, but it told the story of how the first person in the primordial universe was a woman born of chaos (a god?), who wandered alone through the universe for millennia. Feeling lonely, she begged chaos to send her company or someone to ease her loneliness. After a few months, she became pregnant and gave birth to a son whom she raised. When this son grew up, he took his mother as his wife, and from their intense love, all the gods were born. My mother and I are not religious, but we believe that Adam and Eve were actually mother and son, which makes much more sense.
